What is the darkest legal window tint in NZ ?
VLT stands for Visible Light Transmitted, lower the VLT the darker the film.
Passenger vehicles (class MA) sports cars, sedans, station wagons, and hatchbacks are allowed 35% VLT on all windows except the windshield.
Utility, commercial, off-road and SUV vehicles (class NA,MC,MB) are allowed 35% VLT on driver and front passenger windows. And any level of VLT at the back.
